Influenced by past campaigns and inspired by art, music, fashion and culture, GUESS JEANS U.S.A. launched its first collection with Sean Wotherspoon and DRx Romanelli at ComplexCon 2017.
As the co-founder of notable vintage boutique Round Two, Wotherspoon drew his inspiration for the GUESS JEANS U.S.A. collection from archival GUESS pieces from the '80s and '90s, juxtaposed with the rich succulents and dry sands of the LA landscape. Featuring muted earth-tone stripes and special dip-dyed denim jackets, the capsule interpreted throwback style in a way that revitalized the look while keeping true to the original aesthetic of the era and brand.
DRx, the prominent LA-based designer known for reconstructed vintage clothing, used the dip-dyed denim and striped prints from Wotherspoon's pieces to reimagine the GUESS JEANS U.S.A. line for an exclusive clothing collection, as well as Medicom [email protected], and Modernica chairs.
